3D Graffiti-Seoul FINAL PROJECT

18 십팔 좆까 18 is standing on the forefront of the driveway entrance. The audacity of this stand is meant to say "screw you" to all the automobile driving snobs in Korea.

Here, I tried to visualize sort of a retro lettering styled billboard probably most famous by Hollywood sign located on the top mountain hill of North Holllywood. The day was gloomy, thus making it possible to composite grey to dark grey Korean words (plus arabic numbers) to either the side of the building to the top of  them without concern for having to add shadows. The colors of letters were sampled from the surrounding making them ever more realistic.

street Graffiti Korea - 3D digital project Seoul from chriskim on Vimeo.

It becomes boggle to your mind when hearing street noise of various automobile sounds combined with its klaxon horns whenever walking down the streets of Seoul, Korea. And in today's so-called civilized society, one can only do so much about it except to seek both spiritual refuge and relief else where through some type of "temple-stay" program or the likes. But here I took a bold approach (or stand if you will) against these sort of passive resolutions and actually have done something about it. Such as terrorizing it with 3D creation of mine.

Graffiti ---- the Next GENERATION

Graffiti art doest not need to be limited as to remain the domain or medium for the destittue (or pretentious to be so) hoodlums and wannabes only. If not, street graffti  works from the countries like let say Germany, Japan or Korea would have no true sense of authenticity in terms of their origin since there are no true
ghettos in these countries. With this conception in mind, there is sense of urgency to come up with new format in representing these type of works in the 21st century in high-tech cities with higher educated people
with capability of manipulating 3D and 2D graphic tools alike, such as myself in the city of Seoul for instance.
